Free Comics Screensaver is a great slideshow for kids, especially for boys, which shows different pictures of popular cartoon heroes, such as Batman, X-men characters, and Spiderman, to name but a few. By default, the images are shown with different transition effects and they are shuffled, so you may notice that some images will appear lots of times while others only a few.
The images are all cartoons, and they are of good quality and of different sizes, although none of them fill the screen completely. Sadly, the images have an ugly caption at the top with the developer's name and website. The screensaver also lacks music and sounds, and neither can you add your own.
A good thing is that the slideshow can be controlled by using pre-defined keyboard keys that are listed on the Settings menu. From this menu you can also customize the time of the transition effects, but not the time the images remain on the screen, which is really short. You will also be able to show a digital clock and slide number in any of the screen corners, and select their exact position, font, color and size.
In short, if you are looking for a nice screensaver to decorate your kids' screen, Free Comics Screensaver can be a good choice.
